All About Mary is a romance mystery of the misguided life of Mary Jane Jenkins who is a thick sister described as being "a cheeseburger
away from two-hundred pounds." She was a pretty, young single mother of two, who was abused, misused and much loved. Oh for Mary, don't you
weep. She's dead. Her fiance, Perry Rogers, is arrested for killing her.
Perry's mother calls Private Investigator Mick Hart to prove her son is innocent against the charges. To support the charges against Perry, the police have motive, opportunity and the weapon with his prints on it. The police lack one thing, a confession. Mick interviews a long list of Mary's former lovers, who were not necessarily happy about her upcoming wedding. There is Mary's one-time Sugar Daddy; there's one of her baby's daddies; there's a boss with whom she was having an affair; and then there is a welfare pimp -- all with whom Mary used to kick it.
Perry began kickin' it with Mary, soon kickin' it and screamin' with Mary, then kickin' it and carin' for Mary. It appears Perry has ended with him kickin' it and killin' Mary. But Perry tells Mick Hart all along, "I was in love with Mary Jane."
